Our practice remains OPEN for all treatments and we are welcoming patients with all the necessary PPE and protocols in place. – 2/11/2020
We hope you are well and staying safe during this second wave of Coronavirus
As you will be aware the government has announced a general lockdown starting on Thursday 5th November. This lockdown will not affect Dental Practices; we will remain open and able to treat our patients as normal.
Since re-opening in June, we have had all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and robust protocols in place. All staff practice Social Distancing and wear masks as we move around the building.
You will be aware that we routinely work to the highest standard of Patient protection, however due to Covid-19 we have implemented extra precautions to keep our patients and staff safe. We have re-organised our waiting room and reception area to ensure social distancing can be observed.
We have replaced furnishings and fittings to enable easier cleaning. Our appointment book has been re-organised to allow extra down time when the surgery will be shut down and fully decontaminated between Patients. This necessary process means fewer Patients will be seen each day.
In addition to this, certain types of treatments will need to be booked at the end of the morning and evening sessions.
Our Receptionists will do their best to accommodate you when booking your appointment, but please be aware that they must follow the appointment booking in system as it has been set up.
We will continue to phone every Patient the day before their appointment to check that you are well and have no Covid -19 symptoms. Anyone accompanying you will be asked to wait outside (exemptions apply). Please do not come to the surgery if you do not have an appointment, we will be happy to talk to you on the phone.
When you attend for your appointment you will be asked to wear your mask and to use the hand sanitiser gel. If you are having treatment our Receptionist might ask you to put on a gown.
We do appreciate that Lockdown had been challenging and disruptive for everyone, but it is especially important to attend dental and hygiene appointments to maintain your oral health.
The Surgery Team will be wearing full PPE. Gown, Mask, Visor and Gloves. We can look rather over protected, but unfortunately these precautions are necessary to ensure we all stay safe.
Thank you all for your understanding and support during this dreadful pandemic.
We look forward to seeing you all very soon
From the Dovecote Dental Team
